Volunteer

The mission of Neighborhood Resources Connection (NRC) is to develop and foster grassroots leadership and neighborhood-based initiatives, and we currently serve about two dozen neighborhood associations in the City of South Bend. We are the lead agency for residential neighborhoods and provided technical assistance and support, including small block party grants, for both existing and emerging neighborhood associations. We also develop neighbors’ grassroots leadership skills and engagement strategies through our Neighborhood Leadership Academy (NLA) and connect the neighborhood associations citywide through our quarterly neighborhood leadership roundtables.

We could currently use volunteers to:

Serve on Planning Committees – 1) ALL-IN SB150 Block Party; 2) Neighborhood Leadership Academy, 3) NRC Fund Development

Support neighborhood outreach

Provide general administrative support

Serve on the board of directors

Research and write grants
